Dr. Cass Bowers is a leadership strategist, researcher, and advocate dedicated to advancing equity and amplifying the voices of Black women leaders. As Founder & Principal of Rooted Together Collective, she bridges lived experience, research, and organizational strategy to help leaders and institutions navigate complex challenges while centering care, accountability, and inclusion.
With a Ph.D. in Business Administration and extensive experience leading nonprofit organizations, Dr. Bowers has spent years studying and guiding leadership at the intersections of race, gender, and power. Her work focuses on creating environments where Black women leaders can thrive, where equity is protected even under pressure, and where organizations build sustainable, resilient, and inclusive cultures.
Dr. Bowers is a sought-after speaker, consultant, and researcher, translating insights from qualitative studies and lived experiences into actionable strategies for executives, boards, and teams. Her approach is deeply collaborative, grounded in research, and focused on practical outcomes that honor the humanity of leaders while strengthening organizational effectiveness.
